Major updates
Say hello to your new rich text editor
We’re rolling out a new, enhanced rich text editor! Right now, it’s optional (so you have a chance to explore it), but soon it’ll be our go-to editor system-wide. Designed with your security in mind, this editor has a cleaner, streamlined interface. Some previous options—like Cut/Copy/Paste, Find/Replace, and custom button options—are being retired, making for a lighter and more secure editing experience.
More style with "Display – Message"
If you’ve been using our "Display – Instructions" field, you’ll now find it rebranded as "Display – Message" with some great new styling options! Now, you can choose from different message styles—Instructions, Warning, Error, and Success—each with its own color (think blue, yellow, red, and green). These styling updates help your messages stand out exactly where and when they’re needed, adding a nice touch of visual clarity.
New “Special – Button” custom field for seamless navigation
Our new "Special – Button" custom field makes your work simpler by letting you add in-app buttons that open SmartSimple Cloud functionalities in a modal window or within the tab bar. Need to launch the assignment grid, update profiles, or manage scheduling tasks? Just click the button without leaving the current page. This upgrade helps you keep context and streamline navigation, saving you time and clicks.
Usability features you’ll appreciate
Color customization for script buttons
We know a good color can make all the difference. Now, you can add preset colors to "Special – Browser Script" buttons for easy visual cues. Differentiate your buttons with distinct colors to make your interface even more intuitive and stylish.
Keeping dynamic content selections simple
To make data management easier, our dynamic content options now retain historical selections—even if they’re no longer active. For example, if you’re using dropdown lists or autocomplete lookups, older selections can still display in historical records, keeping your data intact while reducing list clutter.
Effortless status setting for copy profiles
Now, you can automatically set a default status when copying profiles. No need to manually adjust; just select your default status, and you’re all set. This small change can make a big impact by saving you time and ensuring consistency.
Performance and security upgrades
Run triggered workflows asynchronously
For those of you running report exports, autoloaders and API updates, our new asynchronous workflow option speeds up processing by batching tasks. If you enable this feature, it allows these to run faster without waiting for each workflow to complete sequentially.
Faster searches with column-specific filtering
We’ve introduced a new setting that limits quick search operations to a single column by default, significantly cutting down search times. It’s particularly useful when you’re working with large datasets, so you can search exactly what you need without the wait.
Integrate your own SMS credentials
For those using Vonage SMS in multi-factor authentication, you now have the option to manage your own credentials directly in SmartSimple Cloud. This allows you to handle SMS costs independently and efficiently—keeping you in control.
