When working with the SmartSimple system, it’s important to make the most of it. The quickest way to figure that out is by getting some perspective through our System Review service. We can help you chart a path that will help you optimize the efficiency and flexibility of your system.
How does a System Reviews process work?
We'll conduct a full audit of your system to identify areas of efficiency that can be improved upon as your use of the system and your needs change. We'll also investigate any changes or ideas you may have in mind for your system, and see how they can be applied.
“I think a simple report would have a lot of value beyond the initial changes and recommendations and could help shape a roadmap for future projects as well.” — Fiona Barrett, Pacific Foundation Services

For all reviews, we'll pair you with a System Architect who will work closely with you throughout the process. Once a review is complete, you'll receive a detailed report with recommendations that include system configuration changes to address your identified needs and suggestions on how to optimize your system's functionality.
“We realized how much we did not know about the new features available in SmartSimple and how we can possibly benefit from them.” — Ann Puckett, Grand Rapids Community Foundation
Every process is unique with equally specialized needs. This is why the entire systems review process is an immersive one where you work alongside a designated SmartSimple support contact. In this individualized approach, we help identify what’s working and what’s not working in your process. We then create a roadmap of what tools to use to make your process more efficient and impactful.

“We only implemented a few of the recommendations and they have already resulted in many changes to our day to day procedures. Our Program Officers are now equipped to handle the payment requests from grantees within our system, and they appreciate the updates we made to the Staff Review activities as well! For my role as Grants Manager, I’m really enjoying the streamlined features from my own day to day work, as well as the effects on our Program Officers and grant applicants.” — Keri Jaynes, Grand Rapids Community Foundation
Change can be hard, especially when you have to change how you’ve been operating in your system. And to make a sustainable change on a large scale, you need to get some perspective. It’s not about what works now, it’s about developing a system that can adapt to what happens 10, 20, 100 years from now.
“I think it is just worthwhile to learn how your organization can use the SmartSimple system to its fullest potential and even if you decide to not implement any of the recommendations at least then you know what the opportunities are and can plan accordingly at another time.” — Ann Puckett, Grand Rapids Community Foundation
